Praise

This has been a busy week for John. A great item for praise is John's kidney function has improved significantly. We are very thankful as his bloodwork had stayed the same for many weeks. Another item for prayer is that he has a blister on his heel from rubbing against the sheets. His foot in bed is now encased in two inches of foam so it won't rub on the bed. This week I start on my vent training so that we can go out by ourselves. I am looking forward to this - even if it is just to go outside and take a walk around.

  1. A walk outside would be awesome. Praise God for the kidney function, the bloodwork, and the good left turns. Thinking of you all with love, and prayers for your continued recovery.

  2. Good Morning John and Laverne,
Great to hear the news on the kidneys, and that they're getting that heel off the bed! Our prayers for ease of learning in your vent classes Laverne, and that you'll soon be outside together, enjoying some fresh air, letting the sunshine and bird song given to us by our Father refresh your spirits. You remain in our prayers and hearts, every day,

  3. John & Laverne,

I love and am challenge by the continual "I did... and it reminded me of the passage/verse/chapter..." So great to read of your constant application of scripture to your situation.

Great to hear you'll be able to get outside once Laverne has mastered the vent class. Ahhhh fresh air!

    Blessings,

  4. Hi John,

We have a friend who follows your blog and responds to me about what is going on.

She says, and I quote..."What a wonderful event it will be for John and Laverne to go outside..
and we complain about the weather!

Just to be able to smell the fresh air for John and for them to be together on a walk..that to me is quite an event and such a step"

It will be wonderful for you both when you get the Vent training Laverne...It is an exciting time...

God bless you both as you fully rely on God for all these new happenings.

  6. John,
We are so happy to hear of your continued progress.
Thinking of you and praying often.... one day at a time, step by step!
Shawn is healing well from his ACL & PCL replacement surgery on Nov 19 th, he has been off crutches for a week and a half, he goes to the gym regularly to gain strength and rebuild the muscle.
Please pray for my Mom, she is in Renal failure and not doing well at all, she is still at home for pallative care at this time. Please pray that Lee Edmonds can be Mom's nurse sometime soon, Mom is not scared she knows she is going to be with Jesus when the time comes, I tearfully struggle with my emotions on this roller coaster ride, I know Jesus is with me, I fall asleep each night in prayer and pray for strength as my heart aches.
