Virtual Visitors

Friday, October 9,2009
The room across from me seems always filled with visitors, yet it struck me last night that I get many visitors as well. Each one of you who reads my blog has paid me a virtual visit, but maybe you are like me and you don't know what to do or say on a hospital visit. Allow me to make some suggestions.
1. Talk about patient's current condition (comment on the blog)
2. Talk about your situation
3.Share prayer requests
4. Pray
Share the blog address with anyone and fill my room with virtual visitors

II Cor. 13:14 "May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all."

  1. Hi John and Laverne,
I've been reading your blog all along, but haven't felt I've had much to say. I've been hanging in the hallway, listening in at your door.
Thanks for giving me permission to come in:
I just wanted to tell you all what an encouragement you all are to us. Every morning before my QT I read your blog to know what to pray for you today. Most of the time you give me new things to think about as I start my time in the Word.
I've taken your blog info to church each week. (Ruby at my church eagerly approaches me every week to find out how you're doing). You are such an encouragement to me and to others.
Thanks to the Lord for the encouragement and example you and Laverne are.
Love and Prayers, Tim, Colleen, Ethan and Konrad (who also ask and prayer for you regularly)

  2. HI John, I have tried many times to blog and just figured out how to.....

It was a year ago we were to enjoy Thanksgiving dinner with you and Laverne along with others.
The year has flown by quickly!

The service at KCCC was very good today.. Mike spoke on Sanctification. The church was full and there were 8 children in Sunday school and 2 in the nursery. It's good to see all the children.

We enjoy your blog daily John and feel privileged to be part of your hospital ministry; and believe me, you reach us all with your wonderful insight in your christian walk teaching us along the way....Thank you....

God bless you John...I pray God continues to show you small miracles daily....

Love always to you and Laverne..
    Gerry and Alma

  3. Hi John,

I'm another one who's been hanging out in the hallway. Thanks for nudging me in.
You are such an inspiration for Scott and I. Even more so than when you conducted our bible studies.
We've been having the most wonderful fall here in Halifax. The leaves are truly a rainbow of colours set before a deep blue sky framed in golden sunshine. Intensive shades that only appear in the autum. Our Sabbath includes a walk through this pallet admiring, once more, God's creation and sense of beauty.
We pray for your Ministry and recovery to continue and grow.
    Love Scott and Elke
