The Wise man built his house on a rock. Matt 7:24

Today I went to see the OT and discussed my new wheelchair. She wants to work with me to make sure it is the right one for me. I would just like to buy it and get over that hurdle. In the same way they have set the date of May 3 for me to leave GF Strong. When I think of how long that is I would just like to set aside that date and get out ASAP. In rehab as in all of life a good foundation is the best way to ensure a strong building. Please pray that I will have patience to endure the course.

  1. oh my goodness.....JOHN! of course you have to have the right wheelchair fitted.

No one - size- fits- all.

It might be pain right now but you don't want to have to constantly going back and forth, back and forth to have it adjusted for small small things.

And as for the date in May..... it will be here sooner then you know it.

I realize that now it feels like a loooooong way away but you will be back.... in time for summer. ( as we seem to be celebrating spring all ready out here on the coast. I saw someone cutting their grass on Monday - now THAT should be illegal in February. )

Hang on in there bud,,,, you have all been through so much. And God has taken you this far. HE is not ever going to leave you or forsake you. HE will be with you at the wheelchair fittings. Go with HIM.

    Hugs to you all.

  2. You'll be coming out with the flowers, it takes a little rain for the seeds to germinate, and you to learn the new wheelchair...I pray To God for patience for you...you have certainly shown enough through all of this and I thank God that finanally there is a date for you to go back to your home

  3. What a wonderful way to describe this, as being full term, reborn.

I know it sounds like a long time away from today, but know that you are better off, being really ready to go home, rather than thinking you are ready to go home.
Those of us who have gone through surgery alone, have experience that the grass was greener on the other side, and when we came home we realized that there was way more to it than met the eye.

See the good in every day that comes to you and enjoy the time you have being able to witness for the Lord in the hospital. You will see way more people now who do not know the Lord than when you are at home (this is ofcourse an assumption on my part. Let the Lord guide you and use you where you are and just be ready to move when it is His time. And you know that if the Lord's time is sooner, He will make that happen as well

You will continue to be in my prayers
