Visitors

Sunday, September 6, 2009
The minister's cat is a hilarious cat. Laverne already wrote about the great Burnaby Street race. Now I want to tell you about Nan and Alex. Alex does not say very much instead he laughs with his eyes. Nan is a great story teller. She used to be a nurse in a spinal cord unit and told me about her first bed to wheelchair transfer. She had to climb up on the bed and then had a fit of the giggles. The equipment today is much better. Having visitors is so much fun. "With Jesus in the boat, I can smile at the storm, laugh at the storm, roar at the storm, as we go sailing home."

  1. Good evening beautiful family,

We just finished a round of 24/7 prayer in Edmonton. The focus God had us praying into was "Hope". There is much appethy about prayer in our times, and HE said that our first obsticle to removing that appethy is for people to even begin to have hope in the Lord, hope that prayer works, hope that this life is abundant and fruitful. Thank you for being such a witness to this truth. You have been an inspiration to us all as we have prayed...and now I am asking that God fill you again with a fresh annointing to walk in HIS love and HIS grace, and HIS hope!!

    Love the Tanasiuks

  2. As promised, God does not promise to take us out of the storm but does promise to walk with us through it if we ask Him to. I can see, by your comments and smile that indeed God has proven to be faithful to you and is walking with you, through this storm. You have invited Him to do so. You do give good testimony to a life that knows that we live in flesh that is daily dying but have a spirit that God has given us, one that the enemy cannot take from us. Your spirit is truly alive and well, praising God, dispite what condition our bodies may be in. This is the faith walk. This is joy, hope, peace, patience, perseverence, longsuffering...the fruits of the Holy Spirit that are evident in you, John. May God have all the glory...May God Bless you, your family, your prayers and your day! You are in our prayers and thoughts...always...Westview Church family
