Thank you

Proverbs 25:25  As cold water to a weary soul, So is good news from a far country.  Today I just want to thank all the people who reply to the blog.  Your comments are a great encouragement to me.  Please pray that our outings will continue to be successful.  This week we are going for brunch at Marsha's on Friday and Easter Service and lunch at Cascades Gospel Chapel on Sunday.

  1. Dear John and Laverne, thank you once again for your words of encouragement to us 'out here'...it is a joy and a blessing to be connected to you both in this way. I can't stop smiling and giving praise as I see news of your outings and daily details. You continue to be an inspiration in your reliance on the Lord, and it's truly a joy and a thrill to follow your progress, and especially to have constant prayer needs expressed so we can talk specifically with the Lord concerning you!
    Thanking you and loving you,
    Deb and family

  2. Dear John and Laverne,
    I know your daughter Katie through attending Hillside Community Church and have been catching up on your blog... which is always an encoruaging read! How wonderful that you are getting out and about. I'll be looking forward to reading about your new adventures in the weeks ahead. I noted in an earlier post you mentioned a song "Every day with Jesus"... but couldn't remember all the words. I also learned this song as a new believer and here are the words (hope you can remember the melody!)

    Every day with Jesus is sweeter than the day before.
    Every day with Jesus, I love Him more and more;
    Jesus saves and keeps me, and He's the One I'm waiting for.
    Every day with Jesus is sweeter than the day before.

    We pray God will continue to heal, bless and give you strength for each new day.

  3. As I am reminded of what we are celebrating this coming weekend, a song comes to my mind. I do not know very many christian songs, but this one I know some parts from and they have been an encouragement to me at many a time. I am sure you know it as well and might think the same way about it. "Because He lives I can face tomorrow, because He lives all fear is gone. .... And life is worth the living just because He lives (apparantly I do not recall all the words)

    I am thankful of what He has gone through to give us this hope, I am thankful that I can say with you that life is worth living, just because He lives. There is no other reason necessary.
    And I am grateful that because He lives, we can face anything, even something as horrible as what you have, and are, going through.

    Thank you again for showing us this reallity.
    I am wishing you a wonderful time this coming weekend, with great family time away from the hospital. With good memories being created and with celebrations of the hope there is in Him
