Multimedia Library

Today it rained but we made it out to the PR Library. I can’t easily read books anymore but the library has a good collection of books on CD, music, and multimedia DVD’s so we went and loaded up. I’ve always been a fan of libraries since I was in grade school when the library in Castlegar was a shack in the municipal parking lot. It’s almost as if they brought in multimedia so I could continue to enjoy libraries!

Great news about the library John, I share your love for them. I'm glad you found some great media, enjoy.

I told my mom you're back in Powell River and she said that she'll come to see you sometime soon.

I got a chuckle out of you going to the library and 'loaded up' It brought back memories when I used to go the the Terry Fox library and had so many books I could hardly carry them...

Enjoy the music, DVD's and CD's John, they will be a great source of entertainment and also relaxing for you.

I remember when our library, up in Kinnaird, was above what is now the Carpenters Hall, and I read thru all the Bobsy Twins, Nancy Drew, Dana Girls and finanally Hardy Boys before going onto Zane Grey...we have to be cousin because that pleasure of reading just never diminishes in whatever form... Hugs and keep being okay...

Calm in the storm - blessings and praises

1 ATV was on the trail minutes after Johns accident. He was able to get help ASAP while Laverne was able to stay and assist.

2 The cement blocks had been removed from the beginning of the logging road so that the ambulance could back in right away.

3 The nurses at the hospital were the right ones. One worked with John and one graduated with Laverne. They were Connie and Ellen.

4 Good friends Lee & Don, Bob & Pat were at the hospital quickly.

5 Laverne was able to fly with John on the Medivac helicopter as this is unusual.

6 In vancouver Beth Sykes a Cascades church friend was coming on shift on ICU after a week in Mexico.

7 Tom Freeman a friend was in town to Visit John the first day.

8 The many prayers and help. Those who have helped by taking DVBS, feeding cat, gathering belongings, (and bringing them down), and getting the bikes home.

9 Karen from 100 Huntley St called out friend Patricia and said she sensed that a close friend needed prayer.

10 Sister Eleanor was able to get a quick flight and be there before surgery.

11 John was able and ready to get a tracheotomy in good time instead of days or weeks later.
