We need each other

Today John woke up like his old self. Although we didn’t make it to church we got out the Bible and read and prayed and shared our thoughts as well as sang some old hymns. In the afternoon John got up (first time for more than 5 minutes in days). We took a drive and watched the waves crash in on the beach as well as went and watched the salmon spawning. On the way back to the car the wheelchair got grounded on a two foot wide patch of stones. Fortunately someone noticed out plight and came to our aid. He pushed the chair while I drove it and got out of there. It reminded me of the message he delivered to the university students a couple of months ago. His message was “we need each other. we aren’t going to make it on our own”.

  2. I'm so pleased to hear that John's doing better I know a lot of people were pryaing together and the strength in that much prayer is awesome! It's also great that you both got to get out and enjoy nature together, I love the message in this post, we do all need each other, each one of us is needed - that's beautiful. Sending you both lots of love from Vancouver. Juhli.

  3. Wonderful news. I remember how small things like being able to enjoy a drive, after many days abed, mean so much.

I never had the challenge of digging out a wheelchair, though.
