More of the same

Today John was not much changed from yesterday. In spite of being very tired he got up in his chair and was there for 2 hours and tolerated that well. Being in isolation is difficult. It is very hot as you must wear a gown, gloves, and mask. Pray for the nursing staff as they spend the most time with him. Also pray for the medical staff as they meet tomorrow that they would have wisdom in how to treat John. Today ones of the psalms we read was the 27th one. Ps 27:5 For he will hide me in his shelter in the day of trouble; he will conceal me under the cover of his tent; he will lift me high upon a rock.

Calm in the storm - blessings and praises

1 ATV was on the trail minutes after Johns accident. He was able to get help ASAP while Laverne was able to stay and assist.

2 The cement blocks had been removed from the beginning of the logging road so that the ambulance could back in right away.

3 The nurses at the hospital were the right ones. One worked with John and one graduated with Laverne. They were Connie and Ellen.

4 Good friends Lee & Don, Bob & Pat were at the hospital quickly.

5 Laverne was able to fly with John on the Medivac helicopter as this is unusual.

6 In vancouver Beth Sykes a Cascades church friend was coming on shift on ICU after a week in Mexico.

7 Tom Freeman a friend was in town to Visit John the first day.

8 The many prayers and help. Those who have helped by taking DVBS, feeding cat, gathering belongings, (and bringing them down), and getting the bikes home.

9 Karen from 100 Huntley St called out friend Patricia and said she sensed that a close friend needed prayer.

10 Sister Eleanor was able to get a quick flight and be there before surgery.

11 John was able and ready to get a tracheotomy in good time instead of days or weeks later.
