As anyone who has travelled with John would know, the Minister's Cat is his favourite game for car trips. And, if you have ever played this game with him, you will know that his superior vocabulary makes him an expert. To play, one person starts by using a descriptive word to describe the 'minister's cat' beginning with a-z. This blog is dedicated to John, in order to update friends and family about his journey and provide areas of prayer.

Trusting
Proverbs 3:5,6 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;in all your ways acknowledge him,and he will make your paths straight. I lost the battle of trusting today. Things are quite difficult as I hear things and feel things not there. Just before supper we read Psalm 62 which pointed out to trust God is the safe thing to do because he has determined the outcome. This is better than trusting other things. There seems to be one roadblock after another getting home. Please pray with Laverne and I that we would trust in God and leave the getting home to God

Hi John,
ReplyDeleteGerry and I are just home and I am catching up on your blog...we are surprised to hear you are still in hospital...
We pray God gives you and Laverne His patience.
We pray God gives the Dr's wisdom in finding the source of the bug invading your body.
He will make our path straight when we trust in Him and wait on Him even tho' sometimes it seems most difficult.. He loves you John!!
Continued prayer...Much love
Hi John and Laverne..... goodness that must be unnerving.
ReplyDeleteI think that our fallen man is not easy to convince sometimes that trusting in God is the right thing to do.
And you are right....it IS a battle. But as you know this battle has been won and you are victors because of HIM.
My heart is with you as you trust in HIM together.
Yesterday at work everything that could go wrong seemed to go wrong. And one of those endlessly cheerful people said: " Oh, this place is just brimming with opportunity."
Okkkkkkkkkkk.... But they are right. No problem exists other then to give HIM the glory.
